This supplement has been designed for women who are planning to conceive or who are already pregnant and want to boost their nutrient levels to support their baby's development. It is safe to continue taking Prenatal Formula right through pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Research shows that mothers with a healthy nutrient status give birth to healthy babies. Prenatal Formula does not contain Vitamin A, as excess levels of this vitamin can lead to birth defects. Vega Prenatal Formula contains the important nutrient, Folic Acid, recommended by the UK Department of Health.
