Dunaliella Salina is a single cell oceanic pink algae, which provides a natural source of Beta Carotene and Mixed Carotenoids (Alpha Carotene, Zeaxanthin & Lutein). Synthetic Beta Carotene, found in most supplements, does not appear to possess all the beneficial antioxidant activity that the natural nutrient has. It is therefore very important to supplement with natural Beta Carotene to obtain maximum benefits.
Natural Beta Carotene is also a vegetarian source of Vitamin A and is safe for pregnant women, as it is converted to this vitamin in the liver and intestines as and when the body requires it.
